OneTee

Privacy Policy

Effective July 28, 2026

The short version. You can browse today's tee times without telling us anything. If you create an account, we store your email address. If you go Premium, Stripe handles your card and we never see the number. We don't run ads, we don't sell your information, and the little we do keep exists to make the service work.

This policy explains what OneTee LLC ("OneTee," "we," "us") collects through oneteeapp.com, why, and what your choices are. Questions any time: support@oneteeapp.com.

What we collect, and why

Nothing, if you browse as a guest. Today's tee times are visible without an account. We don't require an email, and we don't build profiles of guests.

Your email address, if you create an account. Sign-in is operated by Clerk, our authentication provider. What lands in our own database is thin: your email address, an account identifier, when the account was created, and whether you're on the free or Premium tier. We don't ask for your name, phone number, or address, and we don't store passwords — authentication happens with Clerk, and if you sign in with Google, Google vouches for you and we never see a password at all.

Billing status, if you go Premium — never your card. Payment runs through Stripe's hosted checkout on stripe.com. Your card number goes to Stripe and only Stripe; it never touches our servers, our database, or our logs. What we store is an opaque Stripe customer reference and your subscription status (active, canceled, and the renewal date) so the site knows what you've paid for. Stripe's handling of your payment data is covered by Stripe's privacy policy.

Saved searches, if you're signed in. When a signed-in member runs a search, we save the search itself — the date, state, filters — so you can pull it up later from your account page. We keep at most the last 50 per account, and you can clear them all at any time from your account page. Guest searches are not saved anywhere.

What you send us. If you email support@oneteeapp.com, we have that email. We use it to reply.

What we deliberately don't do

  • No advertising, no ad trackers, no third-party analytics profiles.
  • We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
  • We never store card numbers — Stripe holds those.
  • We don't store your precise location (details below).

Location and ZIP searches

Distance search works entirely in your browser. If you tap "Use my current location," your browser asks your permission and hands your coordinates to the page, where they're used to sort courses by distance — they are never sent to or stored on our servers. If you type a ZIP code, your browser looks it up against Zippopotam.us, a public ZIP-to-coordinates service, to find the town it belongs to; that request contains the ZIP code and nothing about you. A saved search made while signed in records the town or ZIP you searched, since that's part of the search.

Who processes data for us

We use a small set of service providers, each doing one job: Clerk (account sign-up and sign-in), Stripe (payments and subscriptions), Squarespace (website hosting), Cloudflare (the infrastructure that serves tee-time data), and Zippopotam.us (ZIP code lookup, browser-side). Each receives only what its job requires. When you click through to book a tee time, you leave OneTee for the course's own booking site, which has its own privacy practices.

Cookies

OneTee uses a small number of cookies, almost all of them required to keep you signed in or to make the site function. The full list, and what each one does, is in our Cookie Policy.

How long we keep things, and how to delete them

Account data is kept while your account exists. You can clear your saved searches yourself from your account page at any time. To delete your account entirely, use the account page or email support@oneteeapp.com and we'll remove your account record and search history. Stripe retains transaction records as required by financial regulations — that part isn't ours to erase.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — email support@oneteeapp.com and we'll respond. Given how little we collect, these requests tend to be short conversations. Depending on where you live, you may have specific rights under state privacy laws; we honor deletion and access requests from everyone regardless of state.

Children

OneTee is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change meaningfully affects what we collect or how we use it, we'll say so plainly on the site rather than hiding it in a diff.
